Royal Air Force Club French Squadron Badges

A celebration of the enduring partnership between the RAF and the Armée de L’Air et de L’Espace is now very much evident on the wall in the RAF Club in Piccadilly in London.

Our picture shows the 12 Squadron Badges of all the French Squadrons that fought in WW11 surrounding the painting of Commandant René MOUCHOTTE who died in his Spitfire on 27 August 1943. The painting was completed by the French Aviation Artist, Stéphane MILLE. The second picture shows the unveiling of the picture on 10 October 2023 by the Chiefs of both Air Forces in the RAF Club.
